A coastal village, a cup of tea, a suspicious death, and a well-tailored wool coat: if those are your ingredients for a good mystery, you’re in luck. This month, we’re leaning all the way in with Mystery Loves Michiana, our celebration of those mysteries that invite you to settle into your favorite chair and stay a while.

From Marlow Murder Club to Marble Hall Murders to Moonflower Murders, Broadchurch, Annika, and Maigret, there’s something for every kind of sleuth. Some are cozy. Some are decidedly not cozy. The settings and stories may vary, but they all share that promise that if you just keep watching, everything will make sense. 

I’m also especially excited about the launch of Changemakers, a new series celebrating people in our region who are making a real difference right here in Michiana. There’s a natural connection between this new series and Legends of Michiana, but I think of them as looking in different directions. If Legends asks us to look backward and say, “Look at what was built here. Look at who built it,” then Changemakers asks us to look forward and say, “Look at the change that is coming. Look at who is making it happen.”

The first season of this series focuses on community foundations right here in our region—teams whose ideas, leadership, creativity and persistence are shaping what comes next for our neighborhoods. We want to tell those stories while the work is still unfolding.

Whether you’re in the mood to follow a trail of clues or meet someone who is helping shape the future of our region, I hope you’ll make time for both. There are plenty of stories worth telling—some set in faraway places and some unfolding right here at home—and we’re delighted to bring you all of them.
