Young Adult Education

PBS LearningMedia offers extensive, free educational resources for older children, specifically targeting grades 6-8 and 9-12.

These curated, standards-aligned materials cover core subjects like social studies, science, math, and English language arts, including specialized content on media literacy and technology.

PBS Digital Studios produces original programming that connects and inspires the next generation of PBS viewers. We bridge the gap between new and existing audiences at PBS by meeting people where they are.

Since 2012, we have launched over 120 original series, and over 40 of those have been produced from partners at PBS member stations. We are constantly exploring new directions to educate younger audiences and a wide range of viewers about history, science, culture, and the world around them.

Healthy Minds, Thriving Kids
for High School

These high school-age videos from the Child Mind Institute feature an engaging host and interviews with a diverse group of real kids. They teach key skills while normalizing the challenges kids face and sparking productive conversations.

Each video teaches a different mental health skill. Corresponding activity sheets summarize and reinforce key ideas in each video. You can show students the entire series in one session, or show each episode individually. (The videos and support materials are also available in Spanish.)
