Changemakers is a half-hour television series celebrating the people, businesses, and organizations transforming life across Michiana. Each episode spotlights those driving positive change—local innovators, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, educators, and everyday citizens—whose passion and persistence are reshaping their communities from the ground up.

Through powerful storytelling and candid conversations, Changemakers reveals the inspiration behind their missions, the challenges they face, and the tangible impact of their work. Viewers see how small actions spark big shifts: neighborhoods revitalized, sustainable businesses launched, young minds empowered, and lives uplifted.

More than a showcase, the series is a movement—connecting viewers with real ways to get involved and reminding them that progress begins at home. Changemakers tells the stories behind Michiana’s evolution—one idea, one effort, and one heart at a time.

A note from the Education Counts producer, Nathan Krebs:

Education Counts is shifting to create more digital-exclusive content that will reach new audiences. People can find this content on our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok channels.

We still have the podcast putting out new episodes every month on all major podcast platforms.

In October, we're moving to a monthly TV episode format instead of weekly. As part of these monthly episodes, there will be quarterly specials that are deep dives into specific education topics (e.g., high school workforce preparation, pre-K, mental health, etc.). Our first special will air on Wednesday, November 18.

The EdCounts Podcast explores the wide world of education through conversations with experts! Science, school choice, language, mental health, you name it - our goal is to help you learn about topics and trends that matter to you.
